Mesmerized: The Second Volume, “O & E” Episode 1 “Obsession”

This story is set now, during the pandemic of 2020, when death is ever-present, and anxiety and panic are surging alongside the disease. I know how I’m doing, but, with the constantly mounting statistics, I wonder how other people are coping, or not.

O and E’s relationship is strained. They had been having problems before the pandemic, but their bond, though tested, had been holding together. However, recently, O’s obsessive-compulsive behaviors are growing out of control, driving E crazy, and with her pre-existing, diabetic condition, she decides to put some space between them, for her own wellness. She tells him she’s going to move out, but it’s only temporary, until the pandemic quiets down. To try to convince her to stay, O attempts to justify his descent into madness.
