His legacy is seemingly destined to be forever linked to that of his friend and mentor, Phil Ochs. Phil found Sammy at a time when Mr. Ochs was suffering through the remaining torment of his life. Sammy was just beginning his run but it was eclipsed by circumstance. And yet, I can’t forget Sammy.
