Townes Van Zandt’s pleading cowboy aria to the bleakest of destiny’s fortune, ‘Waiting Round To Die’ is significant in its allure as Van Zandt’s alleged first composition. If this is true, he had already written his obit at the age of 19.

Guy Clark presents a different composure within the sensations of ‘L.A Freeway’ which became a hit for Jerry Jeff Walker as well as ‘Old Time Feeling’ , an ode to the more identifiable despair of loneliness within the human mechanism.

Each artist has made a unique donation to the archives of troubadour balladeering at its finest. The clips contained in this segment have not been available for viewing in over 12 years.
