I just heard "Gentle On My Mind" by Joan Baez, and it is one of the most beautiful versions of the song that I have ever heard. She sounds as if the song was written for her voice, and her heart.

Well, I missed this one. I had just moved to DC and it seemed impossible at the time. I did get there in 1969 and watched the moon landing with Jones and Pete Seeger, back stage on a small TV. Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee were on stage at the time...singing (believe it not) "Walk On"...blues tune. Amazing and unforgettable.
